17. Fifty Shades Of Grey Is Included In The Opening Montage
The opening ends with Fry introducing a montage of the year's best films, which for some reason includes several prominent clips of Fifty Shades of Grey scattered among highly acclaimed efforts like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Hateful Eight and so on. In short, it's the only movie in the entire sequence that didn't get at least solid acclaim: it was widely panned and likely only appeared in the montage because it made so much freaking money. Either way, it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
