25 Greatest Film Trailers From The 2000s

11. The Master (2012)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iokPRd1fGhI I love many things, but the films of Paul Thomas Anderson are pretty high up on the list. He's one of the best filmmakers of our generation, and I've eagerly awaited his followup to There Will Be Blood. Hearing that he was making a movie very loosely based on Scientology that starred Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix sounded perfect, and this trailer only increased my excitement. Phoenix seems to completely lose himself in this role, doing something very interesting with his face and mouth. I love the Greenwood percussion-heavy score, and the odd but beautiful cinematography. Very excited for this film, and very excited to watch this trailer until the film comes out.

10. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVLvMg62RPA I had no interest in seeing David Fincher's take on the Millennium trilogy before this trailer, and I had no interest after it. Still, this is a fantastic trailer. Set to a rousing version of "Immigrant Song" by Karen O and Trent Reznor, we see incredibly quick cuts of footage flashing at the screen at a rapid rate. This trailer assaults the sense for two minutes and by the trailers end leaves everyone intrigued and kind of worn out. I may have no interest in the finished product, but this trailer works as a fantastic music video to "Immigrant Song".

Jeremy Sollie hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
