A child actor, Miles Heizer has been an up-and-coming presence on film and TV for the past decade. Having made guest appearances in the likes of Ghost Whisperer and Private Practice, he made his film breakthrough in 2007's Rails & Ties. He would then go on to star in all five seasons of NBC's Parenthood. At the same time, he appeared in films such as Rudderless, The Stanford Prison Experiment and had a prominent role in 2016's Nerve.
However, it was his role as Alex Standall on 13 Reasons Why that truly highlighted just how phenomenal of an actor he is. In fact, Heizer's outstanding performance proved to be one of the few silver linings in the show's critically reviled second season. But that wasn't the only spotlight he received this year, as he also had a supporting role in the film Love, Simon.
It's safe to say that 2018 has been a fruitful year for the young performer and, with him set to return for Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why, this string of success will undoubtedly continue into next year.
