Over the past few years, Saoirse Ronan has made an incredible impact on Hollywood. The Irish American actress kickstarted her career on Irish TV shows The Clinic and Proof before landing a supporting role in the movie I Could Never Be Your Woman. However, once she appeared in Atonement (which earned her an Academy Award nomination at just 13 years old), she never looked back, and has since gone on to star in universally acclaimed films Brooklyn and Lady Bird — both of which also earned her Oscar nominations.
Having also appeared in the likes of The Lovely Bones, The Grand Budapest Hotel and even the music video for Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl", she now sets her sights on Mary Queen of Scots, in which she will portray the titular queen.
