One of the big surprises and disappointments of Spectre is how little Monica Bellucci appears in the movie as Lucia Sciarra. Bond heads to her husband Marco's funeral where he first encounters her and introduces himself rather callously, but saves her later on that night when she's about to be assassinated by two hitmen at her home. Bond shoots the two, but Lucia tells him that he's only bought her a small amount of time, as without her husband being alive, there's nobody with a fierce reputation to protect her against the mob. The two have an intense conversation, Bond pins her up against a wall and they start to have sex, as she reveals the location of her husband's planned meeting with his superiors that night. Bond shags her, leaves, and that's all she wrote. Why they hired Bellucci for such a thankless glorified cameo is anyone's guess, and with a little narrative fudging, her character could've been cut from the film completely. What a let-down.
