Who's Involved: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters and Rose Byrne all reprise their roles, while Oscar Isaac is the villain Apocalypse, Tye Sheridan is a young Cyclops, Sophie Turner a young Jean Grey, and Alexandra Shipp is a young Storm. Bryan Singer is back to direct, and scripting duties are being handled by Michael Dougherty, Dan Harris (who both worked on X-Men 2 and Superman Returns) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: Days of Future Past). What's It About: The movie will be largely set in 1983 and revolve around the origin of the mutants, with the team squaring off against one of comic lore's most fierce antagonists, Apocalypse. Why We Should Care: Because Days of Future Past did a splendid job giving the series a soft reboot, and seeing Apocalypse finally brought to the big screen should be an awesome sight. Plus, Singer's batting average with this series is very impressive so far. When's It Due: May 27, 2016.
