17. Nope

Hellraiser Pinhead
Universal

If you haven't yet seen Jordan Peele's Nope, you absolutely owe it to yourself to give this expectation-defying, genre-bending sci-fi western horror film a go.

If something of a departure from the more pointedly satirical Get Out and Us, Nope is nevertheless Peele's most ambitious undertaking yet, making the most of a beefy $68 million budget to deliver an epic spectacle in the vein of classic Steven Spielberg.

Bolstered by the efforts of a strong cast including Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, Nope may not offer up more of the same for those who loved Peele's prior works, but confirms just how much he's grown as a filmmaker in a few short years.

Nope is out now.
