40 Most Ridiculous Moments In The Fast & Furious Franchise

23. The World's Worst Dad (The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift)

After getting into trouble back home, Sean is sent to Tokyo to live with his father, who insists that Sean stay away from cars at all costs, and lives a quiet, unassuming life to get back on track. However, daddy himself isn't so perfect, evidenced by a hilarious scene early on when Sean arrives at his dad's home for the first time, only to find him unprepared (he thought Sean was coming the next day) and quickly getting rid of an attractive Japanese woman, clearly implied to be a hooker. Even so, that's not so bad, right? He still has a pretty decent set of rules to keep his son in line, and gets p***ed whenever Sean breaks them (as he does frequently). At the end of the movie, though, he pulls a 180 pretty much out of nowhere, lending Sean his own car to race against Drift King, Bear in mind that this is despite the fact that Sean's best buddy Han was literally just killed in a violent car wreck, not to mention how dangerous a drift race in the mountains is. It makes no sense whatsoever.
