40 Movies That Will Kick-Ass In 2018
31. The Commuter
He might be suffering from something of a weird late-career typecasting period, but it's clear that Hollywood can't get enough of Liam Neeson as the Man Under Pressure Action archetype in the wake of Taken's revitalisation of his profile.
The next stop on that particular adventure sees him teaming up with The Shallows director Jaume Collet-Serra (who he worked with on the passable Run All Night) to play an insurance salesman caught in a tale of violence and intrigue. He receives a phone call OBVIOUSLY on his commute from a stranger telling him he has to find a specific fellow passenger before the last stop or everyone will be killed.
Removed of his certain set of skills, Neeson is just a normal guy here, who finds himself in a criminal conspiracy, and it'll be interesting to see him unravelling a little more than his usual ice-cool demeanour in such films.
