Though it's also dumped early in the year, award-winning photographer Nicolai Fuglsig's debut feature - an adaptation of the non-fiction book by Doug Stanton - looks like a great prospect, and one for war genre fans.

It follows the deployment of CIA agents and US Special Forces into Afghanistan in the immediate wake of the September 11th attacks as they seek to bring down the Taliban, and it promises to be explosive. Alongside the excellent story, there's also a great cast, led by Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon< Michael Pena and Moonlight's Trevante Rhodes.

Hopefully, it'll avoid the temptation to be empty-headed jingoism, but knowing Stanton's work it should be measured and intelligent as well as packed with some incredible action.
