5 Bad Movies With Great Taglines

2. The Man With the Iron Fists (2012)

The Man With the Iron Fists tagline This recent martial arts-fest was directed by and stars Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, co-written by none other than Eli Roth and €œpresented by€ Quentin Tarantino (read: he is mates with Roth and slapped his name on it to draw in more viewers). It sports a fun cast that includes Lucy Liu, Russell Crowe (playing a character called Jack Knife, I kid you not), Rick Yune (recently seen as the baddie in Olympus Has Fallen), professional wrestler Bautista (as a man who turn himself into brass, as shown above), Jamie Chung and€ the aforementioned charisma vacuum that is RZA. What should have been a super-fun flick with stunning action and an enjoyably over-the-top style was actually a shoddily directed, horribly paced and frankly dull action film with some of the most cringe-worthy dialogue of last year, where the cast was evidently having more fun than anyone watching was ever going to have. The tagline:€œYou can€™t spell Kung Fu without F and U€ That tagline is better than anything in the entire movie - smart, witty and very memorable. It does its job in making you want to see the movie. But if, like me, you were duped into seeing it then you were presented with a wholly disappointing action film.
