1. Big Budget Fantasy Epics
Glossy Fantasy movies with all the trimmings used to be a big deal, thanks to The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy and 300, but the genre looks doomed. The Hobbit movies might have been successful, even if nobody including Peter Jackson seemed to like them all that much. The Hobbit movies aside, the Fantasy genre hasn't made for pleasant viewing the last five years. 47 Ronin is one of the biggest bombs ever, dont expect a John Carter sequel anytime soon, Seventh Son was delayed for years so the studio could find the perfect month to dump it and the world is collectively in awe that something so transparently crap like Gods Of Egypt got greenlit. Maybe Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them or Doctor Strange may help turn that around; The Huntsman: Winters War and Warcraft probably wont help much.
