5 Iron Man Armors We'd Love To See On Film

1. The Hulkbuster

HulkbusterFirst Appearance: Iron Man # 304 The Hulkbuster armor is one of Tony's most popular inventions, and has come in handy more than once since it's debut in 1994. Its heavy-duty exo-frame is bigger, stronger, and as Hulk-proof as possible. It has a lift capacity of 175 tons, and enables Stark to hold his own when battling against Bruce Banner's inner green rage monster. It seemed that the Hulkbuster would make an appearance in IM3, renamed "Igor," though that particular suit was only used to hold up a damaged structure during the final battle of the film and then never seen again. It was, like Tony's other suits, destroyed following the battle, so the creation of a true Hulkbuster suit may still be in the cards (and is almost guaranteed if the Hulk goes haywire). Stark and Banner struck a friendship in The Avengers, which gives filmmakers an interesting opportunity for upcoming films. One problem with the standalone Hulk movies has been the fact that two CGI monsters duking it out becomes less interesting as time goes on, so adding a human element to the battle would make it more interesting. Stark squaring off against the Hulk gives their battle immediate drama, raises the stakes, and would be incredible to watch on screen. So, that's my list of armor I'd like to see Tony don in upcoming movies, but what do you think? There have been dozens of armors created throughout Iron Man's comic book run, and many of them would look great on film. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
