How This Rule Would Improve Fight Club: Just a response to the fact that every man of a certain age across the US seems to know about this mysterious club that you are instructed not to talk about. If you are so motivated to keep it a secret maybe try the old reverse psychology trick? Whats the negative aspect of everyone knowing of such an organisation anyway? If anything this form of recreation is a simply more honest version of boxing Bomb producing destruction squad aside. Towards the latter stages of the film it becomes clear EVERYONE is in on it anyway, maybe the openness to talk about the club could have doubled the rate in which new members joined and we would be at the stage of blowing up banks about 45 minutes in and then on to greener pastures. More men and more awareness means quicker results; so in the films total run time we could have achieved the destruction of the banks, the destruction of more banks, a caravan holiday across the Midwest and the construction of a legitimate Death Star When it comes down to it you just feel cheated by how little they achieved due to secrecy.
