1. Captain Marvel
Superman and Captain Marvel have been portrayed as adversaries in many comic books over the years and it would be absolutely epic to see them battling it out on the big screen. Captain Marvel, in a nutshell, is essentially a magically powered Superman. The two of them can both fly, have near-identical strength, durability and speed and while Superman can use powers like super-breath and heat vision, Captain Marvel can summon powerful magic lightning. Many people actually argue that, with Superman not being completely invulnerable to magic (and yes, that is the correct way to describe Superman with regards to magic, as it isn't a specific weakness of his - he just isn't completely immune to it like he is with most physical attacks), Captain Marvel has an advantage over Superman, but that is rarely shown to be the case. They are generally depicted as equals and that is why it would be such a great fight to see in a movie. An example of how they could come to blows could be from the Superman/Batman series, when the then-President of the United States - Lex Luthor - ordered Marvel to attack Superman. But there are a number of other stories from which to draw the source of their rivalry. So there you have it; five superheroes (better than Batman) who we'd prefer to see Superman fight in a movie.
