5 Superheroes Who Shouldn't Get Their Own Film

2. Aquaman

Aquaman With Aquaman a name rumoured to be in the first Justice League film set for 2015, you would have to guess that at some point in the near future DC Comics are going to sit down and start thinking of a way to use him in the story. With Superman having had a reboot in order to progress with his story before the Justice League and the future of Batman and Green Lantern currently unknown, we are expecting that Flash, Aquaman and Wonder Woman will all be a talking point for DC. I can€™t help but think Aqauaman just isn€™t the sort of superhero that we need anymore. With Marvel having weapons expert Tony Stark, angry scientist Bruce Banner, S.H.I.E.L.D and with Superman and Batman ruling over the DC cinematic adventures, just what use will talking to fish actually do. Now before I start slating the whole idea of Aquaman, giving the film idea to Christopher Nolan in order for him to turn it into a dark and creepy story could well be the way forward. Doing an origin story on a much serious, dangerously depressed Arthur Curry could well create an extremely weird but wonderful story. Now creating a story based on Flashpoint could well turn a boring superhero into a much hated, interesting villain. For those readers who aren€™t familiar with the Flashpoint event, the whole of DC gets turned upside down in an attempt to prevent the Justice League ever forming, thanks to Eobard Thawne, better known as Reverse Flash. Aquaman alongside his Atlanteans ends up battling an evil Wonder Woman and her Amazon Princess. For me watching Aquaman as a villain makes his whole story seem far more exciting than watching him control fish and on odd occasions humans.
