The aforementioned Deep Blue Sea was an example of test audiences improving a film, and here's an example of the exact opposite. TV producer Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes) was originally meant to die in Halloween: Resurrection, but test audiences liked him, so he survived instead. Why? Who even knows?

Let it immediately be said that Freddie dying wouldn't have saved this infamous turkey, not by a long shot. Having said that, killing this character off or, better still, reworking him altogether definitely could've helped.

Freddie Harris is a slimeball TV producer who sets up an unethical haunted house reality show in Michael Myers' childhood home, and he could've been one of those unlikable yet compelling horror characters that you love to hate. Unfortunately, for some inexplicable reason, they cast Busta Rhymes in the role and allowed Rhymes to ad-lib most of his dialogue, resulting in what could be called the Jar Jar Binks of slasher movies. That's just how annoying this guy was, and every second he's on-screen is painful - especially the infamous part where he yells "Trick or treat, motherf**ker!" and then karate-kicks Michael out of a window.

That's right; this guy was the one to overpower Michael when so many other characters throughout the films couldn't. There's a good reason no further sequels exist in this continuity, as there was no coming back from Michael Myers having his ass handed to him by Busta bloody Rhymes of all people.
