50 Movie Death Scenes That Left You TRAUMATISED
34. The Log Truck Pile-Up - Final Destination 2
Much like the Saw franchise, Final Destination movies have created their own signature style of horrific death scenes. These tend to come in the form of something akin to a Rube Goldberg machine, a domino effect that leaves a path of destruction in its wake.
Throughout the six films in the series, there has never been anything that has matched the same levels as in Final Destination 2, with the infamous and iconic log truck pile-up. Arguably never before or since has a single scene affected an entire generation to this level.
Anyone who has watched Final Destination 2 would be insane if they didn't at least hesitate slightly if they found themselves following a log truck while driving, but it's probably safe to say that the majority would give it a swift "nope", and get out of the path as soon as possible.
This is thanks to the safety harness on the truck in the film snapping, sending a log through the windscreen of the following car, crushing the driver's head instantly and firing the remains of his brains and skull out of the back window. The resulting crash killed almost 20 people, traumatised a generation, and changed highway and motorway perceptions forever.
