50 Movie Death Scenes That Left You TRAUMATISED

29. Allie - Terrifier 2

The Terrifier franchise has been something of a surprise hit over the last decade, thanks in part to the character and face of the franchise, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton), very much the series' Freddie, Jason, or Myers, as well as its unapologetic approach to gore.

It seems as time goes on, with the horror genre becoming more and more and even more saturated, there has to be something to set a film apart, but the Terrifier movies have stuck with the basics of disturbing violence, and taken them to ridiculous heights.

Arguably, this has been done better at no point than the bedroom scene in the second outing of the series, at which some audience members were reportedly fainting. Of course, after having set the tone in the original, the sequel had to go above and beyond, and no matter each individual's thoughts on such a moment, it's hard to argue that this wasn't achieved.

The scene in which Art murdered Allie (Casey Hartnett) caused quite the controversy, and was incredibly divisive between being praised as horror at its best, and taking it way too far. Not only did he skin her alive, tear one arm from her body, and split the other right down the middle in an insane bloodbath, adding injury to injury, he covered his victim in bleach and salt, all before she died. Clowns have always scared people, but never more so than this.
