6 Huge Star Wars Movie Rumours You Need To Know

3. Patty Jenkins Wants Gal Gadot And Chris Pine For Rogue Squadron

Given its Christmas 2023 release date, it's probably going to be a while before we hear any firm casting news for Rogue Squadron, but that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from providing us with a couple of possibilities.

This is another one that comes to us from Daniel Richtman, with the scooper writing on his Patreon page that Patty Jenkins wants her Wonder Woman stars Chris Pine and Gal Gadot to follow her into the Star Wars universe.

Richtman doesn't provide any further information, but honestly, would it be all that surprising if this one actually ended up happening?

As mentioned, Jenkins has worked with Pine and Gadot on the Wonder Woman movies, and from an outsider's perspective, it seems like they really get along with - and respect - one another. And just think: if you're in Jenkins' shoes, and you're about to tackle your most daunting project to date... wouldn't you want to surround yourself with reliable, trustworthy collaborators?

An argument here is that it might turn into a bit of a joke if Jenkins takes Pine and Gadot with her everywhere she goes (remember, Jenkins and Gadot also have a Cleopatra movie in the works), but there are loads of examples of directors who consistently choose the same actors, so why can't Jenkins do it too?
