7 Bizarre Cinematic Universes That Are Actually Happening

7. Transformers Cinematic Universe

As if there weren't already an overabundance of Transformers movies in existence anyway (please stop making them, Michael Bay), Paramount recently unveiled plans for a Marvel-styled Transformers Cinematic Universe, which basically translates as: "The usual series of Transformers movies, but now with unnecessary prequel films and spin-offs." What nobody seems to have considered, of course, is that the regular slew of Transformers movies are already unnecessary without a bunch of prequels and spin-offs thrown in - and have been ever since the second flick came out and everybody left cinemas wondering what the hell it was they just sat down to watch (seriously: what happens in that film?). Akiva Goldsman, who directed that absolutely insufferable Winter's Tale back in 2014, has been tasked by Paramount in leading proceedings on this matter and will oversee the development of the Transformers franchise into a fully-fledged cinematic universe as a sort of evil overseer. "Well, we're really looking forward to seeing where this goes," said nobody.
