2. Swamp Thing

Again, this guy had his own film, but, unlike Spawn, the people who made it had talent. It wasnt great, but, in the dark ages of superhero films between Batman and Robin and X-Men, I watched it. A lot. I think the original film wouldve been much better had it been directed by John Carpenter instead of Wes Craven, since Craven works better with more grounded, realistic films, whereas Carpenter works best when hes allowed to go crazy (see The Thing). There was a sequel and television series, but they were kinda lame. Plus, they were either made before or ignored Alan Moores run. A modern Swamp Thing would be more of a horror film than a straight up superhero flick, which, again, is something new. Despite many attempts, there hasnt been a film that found a good balance between horror and the traditional superhero story. Even if they didnt adapt Alan Moores run, they could draw from the New 52s recent arc with the character, and that would necessitate the appearance of Animal Man. The more interesting heroes the better.
