7 More MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies
2. The Creature In The Quantum Realm (Ant-Man And The Wasp)
The Scene
The Ant-Man franchise has a habit of leaving out cool deleted scenes, and here's one more. Giving us more footage of Hank and Janet in the Quantum Realm, this quick moment shows them encountering a strange, gigantic organism, one that Janet is able to communicate with. Yeah.
She uses a radio to tell this creature that she and Hank wish to pass beneath it, at which point, it moves, causing them no trouble.
Why It Should've Stayed
Much like Hala, the Quantum Realm is another awesome location that the MCU has failed to exploit to its fullest potential. It was teased throughout Ant-Man, but in Ant-Man and the Wasp, we only got to spend a couple of minutes there. And with Ant-Man 3 looking unlikely, who knows when we'll get to visit it again.
With that in mind, it's extremely disappointing that scenes like this weren't left in.
In just a few seconds, Janet confirms that entire civilisations exist within the Quantum Realm, which is a big enough revelation all on its own. But then, the scene also confirms that intelligent life forms - ones that can communicate with humans - exist too, a piece of information that should have massive implications for the MCU, but has instead been brushed under the rug.
Plus, it's a visual feast, and would've added a much-needed pop of vibrancy to one of the MCU's most underwhelming films.
