7 Movies That May Just Have Predicted The Future of Humanity

1. Wall-E

wall-e pixarWhat It Is: A 2008 animated movie, sometimes called Pixar's finest, sometimes even called the best animated film of all time. It's the story of a lone robot left behind on Earth to clean it up. See (in case you haven't seen it, which I seriously doubt) humans piled onto a giant spaceship, an ark if you will, and left Earth due to the amount of pollution. They left numerous Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth Class robots (Wall-Es), but over time all broke down from neglect, except one, the titular Wall-E. One day he discovers a plant growing, which automatically sends a signal to the ark with the humans, which in turn sends another robot back to survey Earth to see if it's ready for reinhabitation. How It May Have Predicted the Future: Okay, I was wrong earlier. There's a third option for how humanity will react to robots, and that third option is to become so reliant on them we are incapable of doing anything ourselves. When the film eventually gets around to showing us the humans on the ark, they've become so complacent they don't even walk anymore, relying instead on hovering chairs to get them from place to place. The robots schedule their lives, fly the ship, make their food, make the decisions, everything. Another thing this movie shows is one gigantic corporation effectively taking over the world (Buy n Large). This movie takes everything we're afraid we'll become and jams it all together in one nice package. So what do you think? Are there some other movies that may have predicted our future? Sound off in the comments below!
