8 Actors Who Played Multiple Roles In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

2. Laura Haddock

First Role: Fan of Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger

Second Role: Meredith Quill in Guardians Of The Galaxy

There's been some speculation that Laura Haddock's two separate MCU roles aren't actually separate at all, but are one and the same. However, if you do the maths, it just doesn't add up, and the only logical conclusion you can draw is that the two parts are very much disconnected.

Her first appearance was in Captain America: The First Avenger, as a female fan of Cap's who excitedly requests his autograph. She looks to be in her late-20s here, and since the film is set in the '40s, would be at least 70 years old during Guardians of the Galaxy's opening in 1988.

Only... she's not. She doesn't look much older than 30. Plus, since Peter Quill is only a young boy in this scene, if she were indeed 70, she would have given birth at 60... which is possible, but highly unlikely.

Admittedly, it would have been cool if the filmmakers had tried to tie these two roles together in some way - little connections like that really make the whole idea of a 'cinematic universe' feel more tangible - but that sadly isn't the case.

He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
