8 Actors Who Spoiled The Endings To Their Own Work

3. Indiana Jones Bit Actor Gives Away Major Plot Points, Gets Blacklisted

When you're a small-time actor who gets the chance to play even the tiniest role in a movie directed by Steven Spielberg (even if that movie is as godawful as Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), you should probably do everything in your power to make sure you don't crew it up. And that includes being tight-lipped with reporters. But Tyler Nelson was just so excited to be a part of the newest instalment of Indiana Jones that he couldn't contain himself while being interviewed by his hometown newspaper. He gushed every detail of the movie that his minimal script pages provided him like he was a chocolate fountain and the reporter was a giant strawberry. He went so far as blab a key scene that he eavesdropped on during filming: €œI saw Harrison Ford strapped in a chair being interrogated. I started to gather they were holding this big crystal-looking thing in the tent and heard someone mention a crucifix skull.€ Spielberg, who usually displays an easygoing demeanor, threatened to cut every one of Tyler's scenes from the final edit. He even paraphrased the oldest line in Hollywood, saying, "Who knows if he'll ever work in this town again?" And wouldn't you know it? An IMDB search of the full cast and crew from Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull is conspicuously absent of Tyler's name.
