8 Actors Who Walked Out On Famous Movies
2. Tim Curry - Rocky Horror Picture Show
There's walking out on a movie due to being disgusted or generally displeased with what is being presented to you. And then there's being chucked out of a theatre part way through a flick... one that you're starring in, no less!
Though largely unmistakable in the role of Dr Frank-N-Furter in 1975's The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Tim Curry has confessed that he was once given the heave-ho from one of the film's legendary midnight screenings due to folks thinking he was "an imposter".
Despite unfavourable reviews upon its initial release, the film would go on to enjoy a second life during said midnight screenings, with New York's Waverly Theater housing the early iterations of the crowd-participation viewings that would go on to become a mainstay for cinema showings of the flick for years to come.
It was actually during one of these initial Waverly Theater experiences that Curry was booted out mid-film, but as the star himself admitted when reliving the riotous time, "I thought it was enormous fun. I was having a ball — and then I got thrown out.”
