8 Actors Who Walked Out On Famous Movies

1. Brian Cox - Pulp Fiction

The formidable Brian Cox isn't the sort of actor you'd define as "not being willing to speak his mind".

This was never more evident than when taking in the Succession star's new autobiography, Putting the Rabbit in the Hat, a piece of text that sheds a great deal of light on Cox's many dislikes within the industry he calls home. Along with claiming David Bowie to be "a skinny kid, and not a particularly good actor" and summing Johnny Depp up as "personable though I'm sure he is, (he) is so overblown, so overrated", Cox also had a few choice words for one Quentin Tarantino in his book.

That being said, though Cox would admit that he "walked out of Pulp Fiction", he also revealed, "that said, if the phone rang, I'd do it."

So, despite claiming that he finds "his work meretricious. It's all surface. Plot mechanics in place of depth. Style where there should be substance," Cox still clearly sees the merit in flicks like Pulp Fiction. And seems like he would've been up for the Tarantino ride if given the chance, even though he'd not been engaged enough to finish the flick in a theatre.

What an enigma.
