8 Comic Book Movie Characters Who Need To Be Recast

Nicholas Hoult is a fine actor, something he’s proven time and again in movies ranging from About A Boy or Kill Your Friends. He’s also great as Beast in X-Men. Unfortunately, Apocalypse made a couple of errors with the character; namely, they didn’t give him anything interesting to do, and in jumping forward another decade they've made it clear Hoult is too young and fresh faced to play him convincingly.

At this point in the series he should have morphed into a more worldly character, but the movie thought that sticking glasses on Hoult would add another ten years; doesn't work fellas.

They don’t have to look far for his replacement either, since Kelsey Grammer was fantastic in the role. He clearly loves Beast, since he practically begged for his tiny cameo in Days Of Future Past, and age doesn’t have to be an issue with the make-up.
