8 Comic Book Movie Characters Who Need To Be Recast

Wherever you fall on Batman V Superman there’s no denying it was a divisive movie. Looking on the bright side Ben Affleck made for a pretty great Batman, and Gal Gadot proved the naysayers wrong with a badass Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately, Henry Cavill was his usual wooden self, and once again turned Superman into a brooding git who expresses emotion via clenched jaw. The writing has a lot to do with that of course, but Cavill himself is an empty vessel in the role. There’s no sense of purpose or drive within him, which makes it hard to believe people would find Superman an inspiring figure.

Maybe he'll find a new zest for life when he comes back in Justice League, but the character could benefit from someone who will inject some warmth and humour into it. Matt Bomer has the look and he could use a breakout role while Brandon Routh is still out there waiting for a second chance.
