8 Comic Book Movie Characters Who Need To Be Recast

The producers of the prequel X-Men trilogy must have been delighted when Jennifer Lawrence went from promising up and comer, to fully-fledged star. Thanks to The Hunger Games and her David O Russell movies she became a sensation, and she was locked into a three picture for the X-Men series.

It was clear by the time X-Men: Apocalypse rolled around she was over the series; she's visibly worn out, clearly refused to wear Mystique’s makeup for most of it, despite the character being a loud and proud mutant. Maybe J-Law didn’t find that role all that engaging in Apocalypse, but, regardless, the lack of engagement hurt the movie.

Since she’s reached the end of her deal she probably won’t be back for more, so maybe fresh blood like Imogen Poots or Abbey Lee could return Mystique to her old self.
