If you've seen Scary Movie - or more specifically, Scary Movie's promotional posters - you'll already know why its sequel is dropping in for an appearance on this list. And if not, then let me regale you with a tagline that reveals all in but six words:

No Mercy. No Shame. No Sequel.

Well, there's our lie then.

Of course, the whole thing is some extended spoof on the Scary Movie franchise's part that recognises the horror movie sequel disease in all its corny glory. We never need a sequel. We often never want a sequel. But it always comes all the same, hurtling through production to capitalise on a box-office hit that will never quite be replicated in the same way no matter how many follow ups are spat out in the process.
