Despite having a pretty major character arc between 1993 and 1994, Simon Baker only actually appears in nineteen episodes as photography teacher James Hudson. Following a brief relationship with Roxy Miller (Lisa Lackey), James leaves town and is never seen again.
Following his brief tenure on the show, Baker tried to break out into movies. Despite minor roles in such verified classics as L.A Confidential (1997) and The Devil Wears Prada (2006), as well as the sci-fi action Red Planet (2000), the actor's major contribution to the industry wouldn't come until 2001, when he landed the lead role in the drama series The Guardian, a show he stayed on until its end in 2004.
