8 MCU Characters Who Could Be In The Thunderbolts Movie
3. Hawkeye
As Marvel look to the future of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the MCU, Hawkeye being in the Thunderbolts makes perfect sense. It would help audiences to have an instantly recognisable face leading the pack for a new team, and Clint is one of the only remaining original Avengers, along with Thor and Bruce Banner.
Now that Barton's got protégé Kate Bishop – who will likely soon take up the Hawkeye mantle – he should turn to the Thunderbolts and lead as a sort of father figure, keeping those shady antiheroes on the right path. Let’s also not forget that Clint Barton has his own fair share of skeletons in the closet from his time as deadly vigilante Ronin during the five-year blip in Avengers: Endgame.
The currently ongoing comic book run of Thunderbolts has Hawkeye leading a team that is arguably the most powerful line-up to date, with America Chavez/Miss America, Monica Rambeau/Spectrum, Víctor Álvarez/Power Man and Kara Killgrave/Persuasion. There’s also the introduction of a brand-new character, a cyber-soldier named Gutsen Glory.
