8 MCU Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

Emerging in recent years as one of the MCU's most compelling characters, Nebula has had one of the greatest character arcs in the franchise. Starting in the first Guardians of the Galaxy as a secondary antagonist, her return in the film's sequel saw her cast her evil ways aside and grow close to her sister, before heading out to kill Thanos. She failed, as seen in Infinity War, and proved to be one of the best aspects of Avengers: Endgame, forced to face herself and her past.

Set to re-appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (where her relationship with Gamora is sure to feature heavily), Nebula might be one of the few Guardians who could hold her own solo movie.

Set in the five years after the Snap, with her working to protect Earth alongside the Avengers, would make for an fantastic mini adventure, but it would be even more effective if Guardians 3 gave her the chance to break off from the rest of the team and find herself - facing strong adversaries and painful memories along the way.

James Gunn has gone on record to say a Nebula solo movie with Karen Gillan is a possibility, and if it comes to anything it would be a blast to see.
