8 Mistakes From Previous Versus Movies That Batman V Superman Should Avoid

1. Try To Make The Outcome Of The Fight In Some Way Conclusive

Offending 'Vs' Movies: Again, pretty much all of them This, of course, is the ultimate problem with any 'vs' movie centred on existing characters: to see either one emerge as the decisive victor is to run the risk of upsetting fans on the other side. So it is that just about every one of them has wound up ending in a draw or stalemate. Batman V Superman has a particular thorn in its side here, as the audience knows very well going in that by the end the two superheroes will be fighting side by side, and are set to return as members of the Justice League. This being the case, how high can the stakes be? Notably, that other 2016 superhero showdown movie, Captain America: Civil War, doesn't have this problem. Cap, Iron Man and the other Marvel heroes are already established as comrades, but as an ideological rift carves them into two camps, we'll be going in honestly not knowing what the outcome will be. Given that Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans are known to be nearing the end of their contracts with Marvel, there's the very real possibility that at least one of them may be killed off. Now, I don't mean to be overly negative about Batman V Superman. Whatever happens, the spectacle of arguably the most beloved superheroes ever sharing the screen and trading blows will doubtless prove thrilling. But when we're all well aware that it can only end on the characters peacefully settling their differences, how can it ever carry the same power? Don't get me wrong: I'm all for problems being solved non-violently in real life. But on the screen? Come on; we all prefer a fight that really goes the distance, don't we? Are you excited for Batman V Superman? Will it solve these problems or only make more? Let us know down in the comments.
