8 Most Devastating Disney Deaths Of All Time

7. The King & Queen Of Arendelle (Frozen)

One daughter with ice powers, and the other shot in the heart with aforementioned ice powers. It’d be a silly idea to leave them alone when you go on holiday wouldn’t it? Well that’s what Anna and Elsa’s parents did - and they met an ill fate when they did so.

Often theorised to be a strange link to the parents of Tarzan by some fan theorists, the King & Queen of Arendelle tell their daughter Elsa to “conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know” which leads her to remain locked in her room for the majority of her childhood. Therefore not forming any bonds or relationships in her formative years. Their ship suffers a somewhat tragic fate as it falls under siege to huge waves whilst on their voyage, and that’s the last we see of them.

This is all revealed to us through the song Do You Want To Build A Snowman which delivers one of the catchier tunes of the film and one that each household now knows by heart. Second only to Let It Go, but the connotations are much darker when you realise that Anna is really trying to get Elsa to come out of her room and talk about the death of their parents. Damn, Disney. Back at it again with the dark themes.
