8 Most Disturbing Facts About Jared Leto's Joker

6. He's Going To Murder A Child

Joker Suicide Squad
DC Comics

One of the most twisted and interesting rumours surrounding The Joker is the fact that this version will have a history with Batman very similar to his comic book counterpart.

Specifically, that's in relation to Jason Todd, who he beat to within an inch of his life with a crowbar, and then left him to die in a warehouse explosion. It was one of the most shocking and dark moments in Batman history.

Rumour has it that the scene will be recreated in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ben Affleck has been spotted on the Toronto set shooting scenes which are believed to be for both that and Suicide Squad) in a flashback, and that would be one hell of a way to introduce Leto's take on the maniacal bad guy to moviegoers next year.

How much of Robin's murder they'll show remains to be seen (it could just be implied), but with the Clown Prince of Crime believed to be responsible for the death of him and Commissioner Jim Gordon, it should be clear from the very start that this is one Joker who should most definitely be taken seriously and feared.

Killing a child is surely a more effective an shocking way to introduce him than with a pencil themed magic trick anyway, right?
