Remember when I mentioned that Hela banishes Thor from Asgard? Well, it turns out that she destroys Mjolnir at the same time! The destruction of the God of Thunder's iconic weapon is a sight comic book fans will be all too familiar with, but this is still going to be a significant moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and explains why Thor ends up stuck on that gladiatorial planet and doesn't just fly back to his home realm. Thor has used a variety of other weapons when he's been left without his hammer, so there's a very good chance that we're going to see Jarnbjorn in this movie, the axe he wielded for centuries before Odin passed Mjolnir down to him. That's speculation and not a rumour though; for now, all that's actually been reported is that Hela uses her immense power to destroy the weapon which gives Thor many of his incredible powers. In the comics, Odin has frequently reforged Mjolnir, but with Thor apparently in that galactic prison, could the All-Father pass it on to someone else - Valkyrie - in the meantime? If you piece all of these rumours together, that's certainly a plausible enough theory, but for now, we just know that the God of Thunder is clearly going to be facing his most dangerous foe yet in Hela as she's clearly immensely powerful.
