8 Most Ridiculous Christmas Horror Movies
4. Santa's Slay
This 2005 film from writer-director David Steiman isn't exactly a big-budget blockbuster, but by comparison with the bulk of the titles on this list it's practically Dunkirk in terms of production value.
Otherwise, we're on now-familiar ground with another killer Santa movie; only this time, it isn't some nutcase in a red and white suit with a fake beard. No, it's the real Santa Claus, who in this version of events is in fact the Antichrist, freed from a 1000 year exile to wreak havoc on the world. His naughty list would seem to cover basically everyone.
As you might expect given the bigger budget, this is a comparatively starry affair, with WWE's Bill Goldberg as the most hulking Santa ever; yes, even more so than Hulk Hogan in Santa With Muscles). We also have Emilie de Ravin (a big star on TV's Lost at the time) as the final girl, plus a number of big name cameos including James Caan and Fran Drescher.
It veers more toward comedy than horror, and doesn't go as out-there with the kills as slasher aficionados might have liked, but Santa's Slay is still a good bit of festive fun, with a bit of a satirical edge to it considering that the bulk of the main cast are in fact Jewish.
