When you hear a name like Grima Wormtongue, it's easy to picture someone as horrid looking as this character. He played a significant role in The Two Towers as the advisor to King Théoden but harboured a secret pact with Saruman and helped him subdue Rohan.

Grima was a character you loved to hate. His pale and sickly look made him seem pathetic and unsettling and was backed up by his scheming and creepy advances upon Éowyn. However, despite being such a thorn in the side of Rohan, he's often treated as second fiddle to Saruman.

The character's cowardly nature indeed made him a pawn in the dark wizard's game. However, he still played his villainous role perfectly and deserves to be regarded as one of Middle-Earth's more interesting baddies. Even his death felt like an afterthought, cementing his underrated status.
