8 Movies These Directors Need To Make
5. Duncan Jones - A David Bowie Biopic
Talk of a David Bowie biopic is as common as pigeons, especially in recent years, which have seen musician biopics popping up all over the place. With all the classic stars like Freddie Mercury, Elton John, N.W.A and more getting Hollywood movies, it seems the late great Bowie is long overdue for his own.
Of course, there has been an attempt to bring him to life in 2020's Stardust, but this was a massive critical failure, didn't feature any of the star's music and flew under the radar, so a do-over is sorely needed. On paper, Duncan Jones might not seem like the perfect choice, as his filmography is better known for genre flicks like Moon, Source Code and Warcraft, but there's one qualifying factor that makes him the perfect choice.
Duncan Jones is the son of the legendary David Bowie himself, so who better bring Ziggy Stardust to life than him? He's one of the only filmmakers with personal stakes in the movie, and you have to believe that he would bring heart, soul and tribute to the flick.
