8 Reasons Jurassic World Could Become The Highest Grossing Movie Ever

3. The Rewatchability Factor Is High

What Avatar, Titanic and The Avengers, the current three highest-grossing films ever, all have in common is that, on top of a massive initial reach, many of the audience came back to experience Pandora/the 1900's class divide/bickering costumed heroes for a second, third or even fifth time during their cinematic run. With these sort of event movies, however, it gets a bit more complex than simply liking the movie. These are such "must see" films the people will wind up dragged along to see them multiple times as the quality hype begins to coerce the wider audience into seeing it. The impact this can have on a box office, even if it's only a smaller proportion who do revisit, is clearly not to be underestimated, sitting hand-in-hand with the growing wave of hype. It's probably why, for all its hype, the inferior Avengers: Age Of Ultron has failed to match the success of its predecessor; it's just not as giddy a thrill worth revisiting so soon after first viewing. Does Jurassic World have this similar rewatchabily? Kind of, yeah. As everyone's quick to point out, it's a fun film, meaning it doesn't drag and is a fine, easy piece to revisit, while the heavy nostalgic bent means the film taps into a primal, childhood feeling few movies quite manage. It's high spectacle that's, for the most part, hard to object about seeing again. And, in amongst the rest of the hype, that's all that's really needed.
