8 Reasons Why Halloween Just Blew Up At The Box Office
1. It's A Genuinely Great Movie
Most importantly of all, the new Halloween is really, really good.
It started it's run off right, premiering to rave reviews at several festivals. This built up an enormous amount of buzz around the film, which became free marketing in its own right. Now that the film has been unleashed on the public, the response has been similarly positive.
Good filmmaking is good business. Word-of-mouth travels fast and by and large, fans seem to be overjoyed with the quality of the new film. Between an inspired and calculated script, Carpenter's entrancing score, David Gordon Green's purposeful direction, and an all-around phenomenal cast, the film is genuinely great.
With over a week still left in October and word-of-mouth remaining incredibly strong, expect Halloween to continue to make a killing at the box office.
