8 Stories To Read Before The Beginning Of DC’s Cinematic Universe

5. Justice League: Origin

Little has been revealed concerning the plot of the upcoming two part Justice League film; however, based on the other films DC has announced for their cinematic universe, it€™s safe to assume that the they will be using The New 52 line up: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, the Flash Berry Alan, Aquaman, and Cyborg. Written by Geoff Johns with art by Jim Lee, Justice League: Origin is the story that kicked off The New 52, as the Justice League banned together for the first time to fight the New God, Darkseid, and his parademon army from Apokolips. And though Warner Bros. has been skimpy with the details for this film, Justice League: Origin will undoubtedly influence both films, as they are going to need a threat large enough for the entire Justice League €“ even if they choose someone like Brainiac instead of Darkseid for the main villain. As a side note, volume also includes the most recent origin for Cyborg, so if you are interested in the upcoming Cyborg film, Justice Leage: Origins is a good place to start. Cyborg has always been a team player, never having stared in his own title. Yet recently it was announced that Cyborg will be getting his own book as a part of the DC You initiative.
