8 Things Batman V Superman Did Better Than Captain America: Civil War

2. It Had A More Satisfying Ending

With Civil War making the decision not to kill anybody, it instead fizzles out after Cap, Iron Man and Bucky beat the !*$% out of one another. They all go their separate ways, with Steve apologising to Tony via letter and presumably breaking the imprisoned Avengers out of prison.

So basically, everyone learned a lesson and it’ll be back to the status quo next time out.

Batman V Superman commits to the Death Of Superman storyline (there’s not much point in having Doomsday appear otherwise) and while the world deals with the aftermath of his demise, there’s hope for the future with Batman and Wonder Woman assembling the Justice League, setting up some exciting events for the future.

The DCU has a bit of work to do to overcome its blunders thus far, but the ending sets up so much potential it’s hard not to feel a little excited. Civil War wrapped things up a little too neat after so much friction, and adhering to formula is becoming a bad habit.
