8 Upcoming Comic Book Movies That Must Be Stopped

6. Wanted 2

I was never particularly fond of the movie adaptation of Mark Millar's comic book Wanted, but it certainly had its fans, grossing $341m, which for an R-rated film is absolutely not to be sniffed at. Still, did many people come away from the film really holding their breath for a sequel? The story seemed pretty self-contained and closed-off; this wasn't exactly a world I was keen to explore again. Though creator Millar has been keen to get it going for several years - it would revolve around a guild of assassins - the project has been hit by several roadblocks, specifically the departure of Angelina Jolie, which nearly caused the studio to shut the project down completely. The last time we heard anything significant about the film's production was in October of last year, where screenwriter Derek Haas stated that the film would star Wesley (James McAvoy) alongside a new female protagonist. Well, if this doesn't sound like a lazy rehash of a sequel...
