5. Star Wars Episode VIII And IX

It probably won't sink in until we're actually sat in the cinema with the text crawling in front of us, but there's going to be another Star Wars. J.J. Abrams is hard at work tweeting teases and, more importantly, actually making Episode VII and while it's still over a year away excitement is already high. Disney better hope they've not got a Phantom Menace on their hands, because they've gone all in with the space fantasy; Episodes VIII and IX are already on the cards (hey, Star Wars lives off trilogies), with Rian Johnson on board to direct at least the first one. On top of that, there's going to be a run of spin-off movies to fill the gaps between sequels. Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) and Josh Trank (Chronicle) are already attatched to the movies set to arrive in the years between the sequel trilogy's releases. Will It Be Any Good? With Johnson already hard at work on VIII and providing input on IX there's really no excuse for the later films in the trilogy to not be amazing. Given the calibre of those already involved, even if Episode VII sucks there's still hope for the sequels.
