6. Doctor Octopus - Forest Whitaker

This might be a bit of a left-field choice but hear me out and hopefully you'll agree that this casting would be a stroke of genius. For one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies, an actor of considerable talent needs to be cast in the role. And Forest Whitaker, who has wowed critics in several of his performances over the years, would certainly fit that bill. Alfred Molina's take on the character has cast a long shadow over comic book cinema and is most probably the best Spider-Man movie villain we've seen thus far. As such, a new version of Doc Ock should go in a different direction. While Molina resembled his comics counterpart, he was actually very dissimilar to the original iteration, what with his tragic backstory and all. So, though he might not look like the comic book character, Whitaker could deliver a performance more in line with the original; a genius scientist obsessed with proving his immense intellect to the world. Whitaker is an actor who doesn't necessarily appear in the best films but he always gives a 100% to whatever part he is playing. You can be sure that he would bring some real gravitas and weight to the role of Doc Ock.
