9 Actors You Won't Believe Voiced Famous Cartoon Characters

9. Vin Diesel

Of all the actors you would have considered when trying to guess which ones voiced cartoon characters, Vin Diesel would probably be pretty far down that list. Before the actor became famous for playing no-nonsense tough guys in the Riddick and Fast & Furious films, he voiced a giant robot.
That's right, the actor most famous for playing muscular, iron-willed characters also voiced the titular Iron Giant in the adaptation of Ted Hughes children's book. The film tells the story of Hogarth Hughes, a young boy in 1950s America who meets the giant after it crash-lands in the middle of a quiet town far removed from the metropolis of New York city. Hogarth befriends the giant and attempts to hide it from the government, fearing that they'll brand it a Russian machine sent to destroy the country. Diesel does a great job of bringing the Iron Giant to life, giving it an almost child-like quality as it attempts to understand human life. If you haven't already seen it, we suggest you do.
